🔒 Our Privacy Commitment
Melovo ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. We are committed to protecting your data and maintaining transparency. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our music player application.
1. Introduction
Melovo is a music player application focused on simple playback, playlist management, and a smooth listening experience. By using Melovo, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect and Process
Melovo is designed to minimize data collection. Your music library, playlists, playback history, and settings are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. To support analytics, advertising, and stability improvements, limited data is transmitted to third-party service providers as described below:
- Device ID (Identifier for Advertisers / IDFA): Used for third-party advertising and analytics. This data is linked to your identity and used for tracking purposes (e.g., delivering relevant ads and measuring ad performance).
- Product Interaction: Such as app launches, taps, and listening behavior. Used for analytics and third-party advertising. This data is linked to your identity and used for tracking purposes.
- Advertising Data: Such as which ads you have seen. Used for third-party advertising. This data is linked to your identity and used for tracking purposes.
- Crash Data: Such as crash logs, used for analytics to improve app stability. This data is collected in a form that is not linked to your identity.
We do not collect sensitive personal information such as payment card details, contacts, precise location, microphone recordings, or camera recordings for core app operation.
3. Third-Party Content
Melovo may access music, cover artwork, lyrics, or related media from third-party content providers or public sources. When you interact with this content:
- Music and related media may be provided by third-party services or public sources.
- We do not sell your personal information to these third-party platforms.
- These platforms have their own independent privacy policies, and we recommend reviewing them to understand their data practices.
4. Third-Party Services & Data Collection
Melovo integrates the following third-party SDKs to support analytics, advertising, and stability improvements. These providers may collect and process data in accordance with their own privacy policies:
- Firebase Analytics (Google LLC): Used to understand app usage, performance, and stability. May process product interaction and crash data. See the Firebase Privacy Policy.
- Google AdMob & User Messaging Platform (UMP) (Google LLC): Used to display ads and manage consent. May process device ID (IDFA) and advertising data for ad delivery and measurement. See the Google Privacy Policy.
Tracking & AppTrackingTransparency (ATT): Where used for tracking as described above, Melovo requests your permission through Apple's AppTrackingTransparency framework before accessing the IDFA. You may decline, and the app will continue to function; only personalized ads and tracking-related data collection will be limited.
When the app fetches public music-related metadata (such as cover artwork or lyrics) from public sources, such requests are made only to retrieve publicly available content and do not include your personal data or device identifiers.
5. Data Security
We take data security seriously. All network requests (e.g., for fetching music lists, covers, or ad/analytics data) are transmitted via encrypted secure protocols (HTTPS/TLS). Please note that while we strive to protect your information, no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed as 100% secure.
6. Children's Privacy
Melovo is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently processed such information, please contact us immediately.
7. Your Rights and Choices
You have the following rights:
- Tracking Choice (ATT): You can grant or deny permission for tracking via the AppTrackingTransparency prompt. You may change this choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Advertising Consent (UMP): You can review or update your advertising consent choices through the in-app privacy options, where available.
- Stop Data Transmission: You can limit future data collection by uninstalling the application.
- Contact Us: For any privacy-related questions, you can reach out to us directly.
